After having met in Kavala, Greece in March 2022, then in Postojna, Slovenia in October 2022, it was our turn to receive our Slovenian partners from 2 to 8 April 2023 in Lille to complete the project.

Most of the activities focused on the environment, with activities proposed by Mrs Havet, a science and technology teacher who had devised a rally for the occasion. After our Sherlok Holmes had solved a riddle to find the GPS coordinates of the meeting point in the Heron Park in Villeneuve d’Ascq, the pupils in teams of 4 (2 Slovenian pupils and 2 French pupils) had to solve different problems. Between discovering the “chuques” of the North, highlighting the typical materials of the region, recognising ducks or testing the pH of the water… our young people had to perform as a team while discovering the lakes of the Heron Park.

At the Natural History Museum in Lille, our correspondents discovered the city’s collections with its many stuffed birds and the diversity of insects, which they particularly appreciated.

<\/p>\n

At the end of the week, we visited the largest aquarium in Europe, Nausicaa. Between the discovery of marine flora and fauna, reconstitutions of marine ecosystems and awareness of global warming, the pupils were able to understand the important role of the ocean.

As in previous meetings, the cultural aspect was also present with a day in Paris (including a visit to the Louvres museum), without forgetting the discovery of our metropolis of Lille.

The meeting ended with bowling and a day with the host families.

Other projects are in preparation with these same partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
