The Erasmus + project “Vulnerable Ecosytems” continues. After Kavala in Greece<\/a>, we went to Slovenia to the Postojna Solski Center<\/a>

Ana\u00efs HAVET accompanied the group of 6 students (Phyl\u00e9as, Louise, Maylis, Rapha\u00eblle, Eva and Ana\u00eblle) as well as Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric ROUSSELLE, Director of OEC International\u00a0

Here is the story she shares with us :

“Slovenia was for me a small country lost in the depths of Europe. I discovered a magnificent country, with incredible natural landscapes.\u00a0

Slovenia is a small country but its connections with Europe are numerous. The gastronomy, culture and architecture are a subtle mix of Slovenian traditions and Italian, Hungarian, Austrian and Croatian influences.\u00a0

Slovenians are very proud of their country and take pleasure in showing it to you. The Slovenian teachers had prepared a very rich programme, linked to our project, which allowed us to discover various museums explaining the geology of the region, tracing the life of the inhabitants, etc. They made us walk for miles and miles to discover the country. They made us walk for miles and climb mountains to discover the typical natural environments of the temporary lake region and the incredible views of the valley.\u00a0

Great importance is given to the preservation of natural environments. We were made aware of the different actions carried out to save the bears, lynxes and wolves. Not forgetting the karst area which is fantastic. In Postojna, our host town, there is the largest cave in Europe and the International Karst Institute. A great discovery for a science teacher who loves geology.
